Here is a little highlight from my father-in-law and step-monster-in-law's (SMIL) wedding:
Just a reminder, these two married each other after "dating" for 28 years. Midway during the ceremony, when the Justice of the Peace was having SMIL say her vows, SMIL made a joke about the being together through richer or poor. The JP stopped the ceremony briefly and told her this was NOT the appropriate time to be making jokes. She admonished her like a grammar school child! In the middle of her wedding!!!
HA! Sweet revenge because SMIL was a huge pain in the arse at the very nice wedding The Prof and I had at a beautiful Vermont resort by the lake paid FULLY by my parents. It royally pissed off my Irish-American father who holds grudges FOR-EV-ER that she had the gall to bitch about anything.
Karma, baby. It's all about the karma.
