He's lovely. I liked reading this while he's still in this world. :)

What a shaggy bear! I am so sorry you have to do this, but you know you are doing the right thing. You will always carry him in your heart because of all the times he was there for you. Now, you have to be there for him. I wish I could be there for you and I love you all!

What a great photo! I detect fragments of the boy you fell in love with. I understand the weight of the decision, enjoy the hours you have left with him.

Goodbye, Finnegan. You were definitely loved. Take care, A.

I couldn't even finish reading this before I just had to say, We love you Finnegan! Be at peace. All of you. We are privileged to have met, it was a six legged play date we will never forget.

This is heart-wrenching to read, but such a wonderful tribute to your Finnegan. You have given him a wonderful life.

Okay, all choked up. Going home to hug my dog...

I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry. Hugs to you and yours. You were our first introduction to dog blogs, Finny.

I'm going to miss Finnegan! I'm just bawling. Wordsworth said it best:

"Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home:"

I said it before and I will say it again, god, I am so sorry.

Finnegan was a marvelous boy.

hard to type through the tears. Meg and KuBrin will be waiting for you.

Sing it Round the Pyre

If I
go down to Death tonight
with long sounds and songs of mourning, or out with loud words of glee
light a fire on the beach for me.
You can set the flames with rejoicing smiles
as easily as with grief
and all the difference is
knowledge, or belief
Have a care for the sparks meanwhile.

With much love
